Is violence a sign of Islam's strength or its weakness?

  1. The fact is that we all are fighting on the peel of a fruit called religion in spite of looking deep in the core where the taste, juice and the ultimate truth lies that it is not a bitter one but the sweetest...

  2. Adarsh - I disagree. The fruit itself is bitter.

  3. Dear Rev. Durie:
Yes, Islam is weak. Here are three quotes that are pertinent to the discussion: 1) "It is a poor religion that requires a weapon to enforce belief". (Robert Ingersoll); 2) "Belief in a cruel God makes a cruel human being". (Thomas Paine); 3) "Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth". (Siddhartha Gautama)
The reliance on violence and oppression to spread its message and maintain its position in the world reveals the inner poverty of Islam. If the religion had anything truly noble to share, it would not need to resort to force.
Islam is cruel because it serves a cruel, spiteful, pitiless, capricious "god" named Allah. Only weak souls engage in cruelty - the strong do not need to brutalize others to enhance their feelings of self-worth. Moreover, they understand that cruelty is ultimately destructive to all.
In this digital age with its free flow of information, more and more of the world is seeing through the sugar-coated apologetics to the real nature of Islam. As a result, Muslims are leaving this corrupt creed by the millions. Those who remain are desperate, not strong. All of the screaming, threats, violence and posturing are the actions of a wounded animal attempting to bluff its foes by showing its teeth and roaring loudly. Since Islam refuses to even admit that it contains faults (let alone that it needs to change), its days as a world religion are numbered. Few will mourn its passing. I suspect that most of the the world's citizens will simply heave a great sigh of relief, as they did at the fall of Fascism and western Communism.
